Quest Geelong Central has significantly reduced its environmental footprint while offering guests a more sustainable experience, following a partnership with Soap Aid – a not-for-profit organisation which sends recycled soap to local and international communities facing major hygiene challenges.
Commencing the partnership in September 2024, Quest Geelong Central has already made a significant difference, diverting 15kg of waste soap from landfill which Soap Aid turned into 150 bars of recycled soap through its plant in Dandenong.
The humanitarian impact is equal to a 12 month supply of soap for three families, 13 children, and 6 lives saved based on WHO metrics. The environmental impact is equal to 9 litres of fuel saved; 125kms not driven on the road; and 0.02 tCO2e saved from entering the atmosphere.
