Trade Show Update
It has been a busy 2 months for the BEGeelong team. Here is a recap of the most recent trade shows we attended as exhibitors, representing the region and connecting with buyers from both international and domestic markets.
Associations Forum
Business Events Geelong along with R Hotel, Novotel Geelong, Geelong Arts Centre, BKA Events and Higher Mark re-connected at the 2023 Associations Forum National Conference with associations from across the country. Under the umbrella of Meet Geelong, BEGeelong and the above listed members exhibited at AFNC23 held on 27th & 28th April in Sydney at Royal Randwick to showcase and promote our destination, venues, services and experiences for conferencing, workshops and exhibitions.
During the two days, we met and networked with association executives representing sectors and professions such as Livestock and Rural Transporters, Paramedicine, Science Teachers, Chiropractors, Civil Contractors, Rural Doctors, Myotherapy and Drilling Industry, to name a few.
To increase footfall and also networking time within our exhibit an interactive claw machine also featured and executives provided us with their contact details in exchange for a chance to win a range of prizes from within the region.
Australian Tourism Exchange
After two years of hybrid events Tourism Australia’s largest annual travel trade event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2023 returned to it’s original format including the four day in person trade show component. After taking place in a condensed hybrid format over the past two years and Business Events Geelong was there with a full scheduled of appointments across the four days. More than 2,300 buyers and sellers attended the event at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland April 30th – May 4th.
ATE brought together tourism businesses, tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world over the four days of appointments as well as networking events. This year’s event saw delegates from more than 30 countries attend and we are sure once they were shown just what Geelong and The Bellarine has to offer, they are now well placed to tell International groups just why our region is the best place in the world to host their next incentive or group trip.
Corporate PA Summit
May 15th team BEGeelong hosted a stand at the Corporate PA Summit in Melbourne.
The Corporate PA Summit is one of the largest development summits within Australia, focused directly on developing, motivating and inspiring executive assistants, personal assistants, administrative professionals and assistants based in and around Australia.
With over 1000 in attendance we were able to meet new contacts, create new leads and showcase our region demonstrating exactly what we can offer and do for them, if they choose Geelong and The Bellarine as their next Business Event destination.
