Visitors can now get their hot little hands on our latest Touring Map – showcasing some of the best things to see and do in our region. And, importantly, how to get to them.
We’ve printed 80,000 copies of these beauties which will be displayed at Visitor Information Centres around the region, shared at strategic events and distributed at member businesses.
The rise of sat-nav and Google maps has not dampened enthusiasm for a good, old fashioned printed map. We were still handing out 100,000 of these annually in 2019 (pre-pandemic), as visitors still love a get-your-bearings and draw-on-with-a-pen map. This will show all parts of Geelong and The Bellarine with a combination of scales to showcase central Geelong, our most-visited towns, and the broader region.
Thanks to all the direct tourism members who have taken up the opportunity to be part of this latest Touring Map and to Frank Lane for bringing it all to life.
Next up is our Travel Planner, that will be in market shortly.
