      It continues to be a big week for our industry. After welcoming fully vaccinated international travellers back into the country yesterday, the Victorian Government has today announced the further easing of pandemic orders from 11:59pm Friday 25 February 2022.

      Here’s what changes this Friday 25 February at midnight:

      • The public health recommendation to work or study from home will be removed;
      • masks will no longer be required in most indoor settings, except for hospitality and retail workers, while on public transport, workers at indoor events with more than 30,000 people attending and a few other circumstances (see in full here); and
      • masks are still recommended for workers in public-facing roles such as customer service and reception.

      You can read the Victorian Government’s full statement here.

      Read our previous update on changes that came into effect Friday 18 February.

      For specific clarification on any of these requirements, the Business Victoria hotline is available on 13 22 15.

      These latest changes add to a steady stream of easing restrictions and give hope for our industry’s ability to move forward.
