In case you missed it today, the Victorian Government has announced a few changes to face mask and vaccination entry requirements.
The changes will come into effect from 11.59pm on Wednesday 15 December and be in place until 11.59pm on Wednesday 12 January 2022.
Some of these changes will hopefully make things a bit easier over the busy holiday season.
Here’s a summary of what you need to know:
- Mask settings in retail remain unchanged and are still required to be worn
- Customers under 18 will no longer be required to show proof of their vaccination status at all venues, including hospitality
- The mandatory vaccination requirement will be removed for all customers in retail, except hair and beauty services, and will also be removed in real estate, places of worship, weddings and funerals
- Face masks no longer need to be worn at weddings, funerals, or ceremonial settings
- If these events are held at places of worship there will not be any vaccination requirements, limits on participants, or any requirement for organisers to check vaccination status. If the ceremony is at a hospitality setting, vaccine requirements will apply.
Restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs are still only open to fully vaccinated patrons and staff, and workers are required to wear masks.
Don’t forget: Businesses are still required to maintain a CovidSafe plan and QR codes are a must for visitors to your business. Find some handy information here.
We’ll continue to keep you up-to-date as changes are announced.
